The second film of the Laughfest series is "Patch Adams". This film is showing for $5 at Celebration Cinema Grand Rapids South with a portion of the proceeds going to Gilda's Club Grand Rapids! It is playing March 12th-15th. The real Patch Adams, was in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 performing at the DeVos Performance Hall for Laughfest 2012.
The hilarious stand-up comedy film "Eddie Murphy: Delirious" is playing at the Wealthy Street Theatre on March 14th, 2012 as a part of Laughfest 2012. Tickets are $6 for the general public and members of the CMC get in for $5 and have access to the Meanwhile bar during the film. The movie will start at 8 pm with doors opening at 7:15 pm.
Next week's Meanwhile Movie at Wealthy Street Theatre is "Frankenhooker". They are teaming up with Laughfest 2012 to show this film. See the film on March 13th, 2012 at 8 pm for only $6! The Wealthy Street Theatre is another Grand Rapids theater participating in Laughfest 2012. On March 11th, 2012, they are playing the "Richard Pryor: Live in Concert" film at 3 pm. The doors open at 2 pm and tickets are $6 for the general public and $5 for members of the CMC.
Sinbad is performing live at the Fountain Street Church on March 18th, 2012 for Laughfest 2012! See him perform at 4:30 pm! Sinbad has performed in many stand-up comedy specials as well as films. Some of these include "Brain Damaged", "Afros & Bellbottoms", "Jingle All the Way", and "The Sinbad Show". Tickets for the event are $27.50-$37.50 online.
Bo Burnham is returning to Grand Rapids to perform for Laughfest 2012! Last time he was in Grand Rapids, he performed at Grand Valley State University. This time, he is performing on March 17th, 2012 at 10 pm at the Fountain Street Church. Tickets are $22.50-$27.50 and available to purchase at Laughfest Grand Rapids' website.
Bo Burnham has performed on Comedy Central Presents. He has also had his own special titled "Words, Words, Words". Burnham became famous due to his Youtube videos at a young age. His comedic style involves mostly the piano and his musical talent.
I have seen him live and watched his Youtube videos and I would definitely recommend this event. If you have not watched his Youtube videos prior to seeing him perform live, I would recommend it because there are times when he picks up the tempo of his songs and is difficult to understand.
Jim Gaffigan is performing live in Grand Rapids for Laughfest 2012 at the GRCC Ford Fieldhouse on March 16th, 2012! Tickets are sold out for this event! It starts at 8 pm.

Liam McEneaney, creator of "Tell Your Friends", a weekly comedy show, is coming to UICA on March 12th, 2012 to show the film version of this show with the director, Victor Varnado. The film goes behind the scenes to interview the various cast members as they become recognized by mainstream television. After the film, Liam McEneaney and Victor Varnado will provide commentary and Q&A. This event is part of Laughfest 2012.
"Dying to do Letterman", a film about stand-up comedian Steve Mazan, is playing at the UICA on March 11th, 2012. Steve Mazan was diagnosed with cancer when he was 35 and told that he had about 5 years left to live, so he takes the steps to accomplish his life dream of performing on The Late Show with David Letterman. This film is showing at 7 pm as a part of Laughfest for Gilda's Club Grand Rapids with commentary and Q & A with Steve Mazan himself!
